Ableton Music Producer Program

Our Ableton Producer Program is a 120-hour course (with one-to-one mentoring), that has been designed for aspiring music producers wanting to get a thorough understanding of electronic music production. This is world-class training and mentoring of the highest order in the Ableton Live Suite. Students will produce a fit-for-release EP of their own work during a 6-level program, that will see them gain Garnish’s own Ableton Producer certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Students will get to learn sampling and audio manipulation, building beats, composition, genre analysis, mixing and mastering, music theory for electronic music, sound design and advanced synthesis. We will introduce you to the world of Max for live, giving you the skills to potentially build your own sound creation tools. We will also focus on Ableton as a performance instrument working with midi controllers, hardware and outboard gear (Analogue and modular synths). You will also learn marketing techniques and music business as it pertains t the world of Electronic Music, arming you with the tools to both conceptualise, create and market your product.

Students will develop their skillset amidst the exclusive surroundings of Rekorder Studios in Kreuzberg, Berlins cultural hub. Here not only will you have access to our state-of-the-art studio facilities but you can experience what makes Berlin one of the creative capitals of the world.

Throughout the 120 hours, there will be carefully-positioned mentoring sessions that allow the student to get the most from their mentors. This is designed not only to allow assimilation of what’s been learned, but to uncover blind spots, unlock your creativity and inspire you on toward greater success. Our mentors have all had impact within creative and professional realms …having been featured on high profile networks such as BBC1 Radio, Ninja Tune, The CW Network and Gilles Peterson Worldwide.

One of the greatest strengths of this program is the fact that students are never in groups larger than four. Whether your aim might be to further improve your skills in Production or Sound Design to a more professional level, or to construct a multi-channel interactive installation, the learning groups are always small enhancing the learning experience and giving you more one on one quality time with our tutors.
